Yvette Velez

Yvette Velez is a Mexican American artist and creative behind Made by Yvette. Her work is inspired by color, culture, emotion, and the meaningful connections that shape everyday life. Through painting, she explores themes of identity, hope, resilience, and joy. Yvette created this piece for the theme Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Each flower represents a part of that promise: the lotus for life and resilience, the iris for liberty and strength, and the sunflower for joy, warmth, and the pursuit of happiness. Together, the flowers reflect the beauty of growth, freedom, and the personal journey toward happiness.
