Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness and We the People grew from my interest in the distance between the ideals we inherit and the realities we experience. Using black-and-white photographs as the foundation and layering them through the risograph process, I wanted to create images that feel both familiar and fragmented. The textures, imperfections, and overlapping colors reflect the complexity of memory, identity, and democracy.
